“Let Justice Flow” Book Design
Lifewater, an organization that works to bring clean and healthy water to people all over the world, wanted to create a book as a gift to their sponsors with images of real people who were helped by their organization.
The concept behind and title of the book was "Let Justice Flow," meaning to let clean water flow to the people who needed it. Images flow in such a way that they are more hopeful as the book progresses, showing recipients how people have been positively affected by their donations.
Type was hand-generated and digitized in photoshop to keep it’s texture and allow it to appear as though it were drawn on the page. This type treatment was chosen in order to to feel more personal and human, as if you are speaking directly the people in the images, like one would in a letter.
A wave pattern and Lifewater’s tagline are highlighted in the front cover of the book in the same typeface used with the logo. The type was hand-drawn here to continue the cohesive feel of the type throughout.
Lifewater’s logo and the title of the book are heat-stamped on the cover of the book. The binding tape is the organization’s official blue.
